BIO

I am a recent graduate from James Madison University, majoring in Public Relations and Spanish.  I am a Jersey Shore girl who loves traveling, adventures, chocolate cupcakes and of course fashion.  I love to meet new people and have fun out on the town with my friends.  I have a strong passion for making a difference; either working with Spanish immigrants, The Lost Boys of Sudan or volunteering in Ecuador, I always try to end each day a little better than it was the day before.

Fashion, however, has always been my biggest passion.  Even though my credit cards may say differently, fashion has become more than just finding the perfect shirt and skirt combination.  Fashion has become the center of my attention and I try to soak up as much as I can.  Looking at blogs, reading all about my fashion PR idols like Kelly Cutrone and Franca Sozzani, blogging on my own personal fashion journey blog and more.  When I finally had the epiphany to combine my passion with fashion with my new passion for the world of Public Relations, I couldn't have felt a better fit.

I have always known I had the gift of gab and loved forming new relationships, so I thought coming into college Public Relations would be a perfect fit for me.  However, after four years of experience in the PR world, I have learned it is so much more than talking and making people happy.  Through my various internships either at the JMU Public Affairs Office, with BPCM or working with PR teams at New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Weeks, I have been able to experience the real, exhausting, never-ending, crazy world of PR and I love every second of it.  I have also fallen in love with the world of social media.  Before my internship at JMU I thought social media was just for fun and couldn't be a job.  I have learned now, that social media is not only a hectic, essential job, it is a never-ending 24/7 job.  I have learned so much about so many social media tactics and I can't wait to explore and take on more.

As you can see, before college and all my PR experiences I started out as just an excited girl not sure where the PR world would actually take me.  I have learned so much and have had my views on so much changed.  Getting a job in the PR world I know my growth and knowledge in this field will continue to grow.  Although I have plenty of experience with social media, public relations and fashion, I know that my experience may not be as lengthy and up to par as other applicants.  However, I can assure you that my passion and determination to do the best I can with each task will make up for the number in my years of experience.  Quality over quantity.
